In 2009, she
was the official Arts Council of Ireland blogger for the Dublin Writers Festival and the Ulster Bank Theatre
Festival. She also maintains her own literary website: www.serendipitypoetry.com.
To be a successful writer, Elizabeth believes it’s crucial
that you make time to write every day and to spend time with people with the same level of dedication. She is
a member of Dalkey Writers Group and has attended several Inkwell workshops.
She says “Inkwell workshops are invaluable to me. They help
me to improve my skills, provide me with useful information on the publishing world and excellent networking
opportunities. I get support and encouragement from some of the best established and up-and-coming writers in
a professional writing environment.”
Elizabeth recently came
third in a poetry slam at the Flatlake festival and is currently working on a young adult novel. She has also
been asked to start a version of literary magazine Beauty of Washing Lines in Dublin, and will be accepting
submissions starting January 2010.
She has recently been awarded a commendation from the
from the Aesthetica Magazine Competition.
